WARRANTY

The Society Inc Chalkboard Paint is warranted for 10 years.

PREPARATION

Remove all loose and fl aking material, ensure surface is clean and free of dirt, mould, dust or other foreign material. Fill surface imperfections with appropriate fillers and sand off excess. Unsound old, oil-based painted, and new / bare surfaces should be primed – this includes filled areas. The Society Inc Chalkboard Paint may be applied directly to clean, sound surfaces previously painted with water based paint.

PRIMING

Unsound, oil-based painted, plasterboard, timber (not tannin rich), fillers, aluminium, galvanised iron, fibre cement, cement render, brick, block should be primed with one coat of tinted Murobond Primer. Tannin rich timbers may require an oil or spirit base stain block to prevent leaching. Hardset (whiteset) plaster should be primed with Murobond Mineral Silicate Primer, then Murobond Primer. Stir then apply two coats of The Society Inc Chalkboard Paint by brush, roller (mid to short nap) or spray allowing 4 hours between coats (longer in colder or more humid conditions).
Allow 2 days to fully dry before using your chalkboard.

11m2 per litre approximately.

CLEAN-UP

Water. Thinning is not recommended.

MAINTENANCE

Use a duster or damp cloth to remove chalk.

STORAGE

Store in cool dry location.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not apply if surface or air temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C. Protective clothing such as glasses and gloves are advised during use. Do not swallow.
