This stunningly understated Modernist home in Clontarf overlooking Sydney’s Middle Harbour was designed in 1959 by owner-architect Andrew Young of Duffield Young & Associates. During recent renovations the architects at Watershed Design restored the original way-ahead-of-trend black timber boards with Murobond’s Woodwash Exterior paint in Black. This was a practical as well as beautiful choice of paint; Woodwash Exterior is water repellant and highly UV resistant, so the timber boards will withstand the elements of this Harbourside climate for many seasons to come.
